3. Place in a roasting pan breast-side up

2) Salmon en Papillote

Salmon en Papillote is a delicious and healthy dish that can be made in minutes. This dish is great for dinner parties or even as a healthy lunch option. The salmon is baked in parchment paper with vegetables and drizzled with an olive oil lemon sauce. It is full of flavor and nutrients which makes it the perfect weekend meal.

3) Vegetarian Chili

This vegetarian chili recipe is a great dish for the chilly winter season. It's hearty, filling and comes together quickly. The best part? You can make it in one pot, so you don't have a million pots and pans to clean. Plus, this is one of those dishes that tastes even better the next day!

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped (optional)

1 jalapeño pepper (optional), seeded and finely chopped* *If you're not into spicy food add more green bell peppers or omit entirely. If you want some spice but not too much go with just 1 jalapeño.

4) Shakshuka

Shakshuka is a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, onions, and peppers. It's often served over white rice or with bread. It's one of the most popular dishes in Israel, but it also has roots in Tunisia and Libya. The word shakshuka is Arabic for a mixture. Shakshuka is usually eaten as breakfast, lunch or dinner. There are many variations of this dish depending on what region you're from, but we'll be making the Israeli version. Start by heating two tablespoons of olive oil in a large pan and frying four thinly sliced onions until they're translucent.

5) Crispy Potatoes

Crispy potatoes are a basic but essential side dish. They're easy, fast, and require only four ingredients: Potatoes, oil, salt and pepper. Place the thinly sliced potatoes in a colander with holes large enough for liquid to drain through. In a large bowl or gallon-size ziploc bag, mix together oil and salt and pepper. When the potatoes have drained, pour them into the colander with the other ingredients and toss them until they're coated thoroughly on both sides. Spread the potatoes out evenly over a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper so they aren't overlapping too much; this will allow more surface area to crisp up in the oven.
